'Save for Web' optimisation work flow

Once you have resized your images to the websites final required pixel (px) dimensions and before you upload them to your site. You need to reduce the file size as much as possible using a ‘Save for Web’ Processor. Thereby ensuring your product photography and packshot images download quickly on your web page. Photoshops ‘Save for Web’ Processor is found under the file menu and may be used as follows:

Make a copy folder of the images you wish to optimise.
Crop the images to required shape as required.
Resize your images using the ‘Image Processor’, see blog post 'Resizing images'.
Open ‘Save for web’ from under the file menu.
Select the settings appropriate to your needs.
Click ‘Save’.
